One of the main objectives of the COMPASS experiment at CERN is the study of spin (in)dependent asymmetries with SIDIS and Drell-Yan (DY) processes with polarized targets. These phenomena give access to the set of transverse-momentum--dependent (TMD) parton distribution functions (PDFs). Within the QCD parton model framework Sivers and Boer-Mulders PDFs are expected to change their sign between SIDIS and DY, while the others are genuinely process independent. COMPASS SIDIS and DY results can give a unique and complementary input to address these expectations. In this talk selected COMPASS SIDIS results and highlights of DY program are presented.
