Commissioning of a 70 MeV proton cyclotron for the SPES facility at Laboratori Nazionali Legnaro.

The SPES (Selective Production of Exotic Species) project at laboratory Nazionali Legnaro is based on a facility for research on radioactive beams to study fundamental and applied nuclear physics. To reach the goals a commercial cyclotron capable of delivering proton beams at an energy up to 70 MeV with current up to 700 $\mu A$ has been acquired as a proton primary accelerator. The cyclotron is able to deliver two beams of energies between 35 and 70 MeV, that can be extracted simultaneously from two different output lines. The cyclotron has been supplied by BEST Theratronics. It was delivered and presently it is under commissioning. The status of the commissioning, and the main characteristics of the cyclotron facility will be presented.
