Monte Carlo simulation of the XENON1T detector.

XENON1T is the first ton-scale, liquid-xenon TPC for Dark Matter search. It is currently under commissioning at LNGS. In order to optimize the detector design and to study its properties, such as the expected background and the signal response, we developed a detailed Monte Carlo simulation using the GEANT4 toolkit. The final goal of the study is the development of a waveform simulator that allows to reproduce the signal formation as a function of time, for both WIMP and background events.
